Find a General Practitioner has been developed to provide General Practitioner related job listings/& related services to General Practitioner’s from General Practitioner practices/ companies/ institutes related to the medical industry.
Users of this site agree to accept all terms & conditions, else are not permitted to the use of this site/or the associated services of Find a General Practitioner.
Find a General Practitioner is not liable for any inaccurate information which may be provided by either the General Practitioner or medical practice/ company /institute/ hospital or any other related clinic/practice/company.
Find a General Practitioner is not liable for any adverse incidences which may occur from the employment of a General Practitioner by practices/ companies/ institutes/ hospitals.
Find a General Practitioner is not responsible or involved in any workplace agreements, conditions or rate of pay contracted between the General Practitioner and any practice/ company/ institute related to the General Practitioners employment/ or working arrangement.
All payments to Find a General Practitioner are made via: Direct Bank Deposit.
Find a General Practitioner is a job listing board advertising General Practitioner positions, where by applicants apply directly to the contact details within each ad. Find a General Practitioner is therefore not involved with applicants applying via the advertised positions, as applicants & advertisers correspond directly with each other, hence the reason why Find a General Practitioner states it is not a recruitment company. In the event where an advertiser has difficulty in obtaining a suitable applicant, then on request by the advertiser – Find a General Practitioner is happy to source a suitable applicant via our independent recruitment services.

FOR practices/ companies/ institutes

All practices/ companies/ institutes must comply with the associated employment rights and awards concerning General Practitioner / Medical Officers / RMO’s together with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

URGENT or RANDOM POSITIONS:

Find a General Practitioner has a contact list of General Practitioner’s who wish to be notified via: sms, should an urgent or random position arise. These General Practitioner’s have NOT been screened or interviewed by Find a General Practitioner. It is the responsibility of the practice/ company/ institute hospital to view the General Practitioner’s- graduation certificate/CV/APHRA certification/any other relevant work experience details prior to them filling in urgently or randomly. Find a General Practitioner is not liable if the person arriving to fill in for the given urgent or random position is not appropriately qualified or fit for the urgent or random position.
Find a General Practitioner holds the supporting documents of General Practitioners who register their availability to work only for the purpose of being officially listed on the urgent or random request service, where supporting documents will only be passed onto the relevant practices/companies after the relevant General Practitioner wishes to work at the given workplace.
When Find a General Practitioner locates a General Practitioner to work the requested urgent or random position, then that General Practitioner’s – contact details will only be given to the given practice/ company/ institute/ hospital once the signed ‘service of agreement’ form is returned to Find a General Practitioner.
To initiate the ‘Urgent or Random’ Request Service, both: lodging an ‘Urgent or Random’ Request online and then calling the revealed mobile number needs to take place. Failure to call the revealed mobile number will result in an unprocessed request.
Find a General Practitioner endeavours to find an available General Practitioner when requested, however it is not 100% guaranteed that an available General Practitioner will be located. Lodging a request is free of charge.
If Find a General Practitioner is unable to locate an available General Practitioner then no payment is to be made. If Find a General Practitioner begins the process of locating/ organizing a suitable person to fill in & then the practice/company no longer requires this service or has a change of mind – a cancellation fee of $95.00 + gst will be charged to the practice/company.
A service of agreement must be signed, which is an agreement by the practice/company/institute regarding – section: 10 of this terms & conditions page (ie: an agreement that the practice/company/institute is unable to contact the same General Practitioner again in future without going via Find a General Practitioner). Please see: point 10
Find a General Practitioner will forward the GP’s email of confirmation to the practice/ company which states in writing from the GP that they are able to come in and work the requested urgent random position.
If for some reason the arranged General Practitioner fails to attend / work the urgent position, then the practice must contact Find a General Practitioner where another General Practitioner will be organised – at no extra charge [provided it is the same initial request]
The practice/company/institute can not personally contact the General Practitioner arriving to cover again in future for any other position. If any other future urgent / random position arises , Find a General Practitioner must be contacted again and the General Practitioner will be contacted only by Find a General Practitioner. Under no circumstances can the practice/company/ institute approach the General Practitioner who was originally sent by Find a General Practitioner. Any breech of this will result in permanent suspension of all services related to Find a General Practitioner for both the practice/company/ institute and the General Practitioner involved, with legal prosecution attached. The practice may specify a particular General Practitioner by name when contacting Find a General Practitioner again in future, who will be given first preference to cover. [This section 10 – is predominantly what our Service of agreement outlines, which practices/companies/institutes must sign & return to Find a General Practitioner]
In the event whereby the practice wishes to offer the arranged General Practitioner permanent work / ongoing basis eg: Full time, Part time, Casual work – again the practice must contact Find a General Practitioner first, where employment of this General Practitioner will then be organised via our recruitment services.

LONGTERM/ LOCUM POSITIONS:

Find a General Practitioner will post longterm or Locum positions for General Practitioner’s to view. Interested General Practitioners/ Medical officers / Resident Medical Officers can then apply directly to the practice/company/ institute.
Submitted Ads must be approved by Find a General Practitioner before displayed as LIVE on this website. Approval is usually within 1- 4 hours, however may take up to 12 hours.
Payment for Ads are via: direct bank deposit only. An invoice will be issued by the accounts team after approval.
Ads remain on the website for 60 days, most effective within first 30 days. Ads remain permanently on all social media feeds.

FOR General Practitioners

URGENT or RANDOM POSITIONS

General Practitioners need to register for free in order to be on the urgent or random contact list, where an sms will be sent to General Practitioners whenever any urgent or random position arises.
The names of General Practitioner’s on the urgent or random sms listing is kept confidential and is not visible on this site for others to see. The General Practitioners contact details will only be passed on to the relevant practices/ companies/ institutes when the General Practitioner is interested/available to cover the urgent or random position.
General Practitioners must send their CV/ graduation certificate/ APHRA certification to Find a General Practitioner to be sighted. These supporting documents will be retained by Find a General Practitioner in order for the General Practitioner to be officially placed on the urgent or random sms listing.
General Practitioners need to inform Find a General Practitioner if they wish to be removed from the sms listing or urgent/ random request service.
General Practitioners need to inform Find a General Practitioner each time there is a change in any of the registered ‘days off’ or availability to work.
Find a General Practitioner will give all General Practitioners who register a welcome call.

LONGTERM/LOCUM POSITIONS:

General Practitioners need to apply directly to the contact details of any longterm / locum Ad.

RECRUITMENT SERVICES

If practices do not wish to source their own applicants, perhaps due to lack of resources / limited time / or when it is difficult to source the perfect applicant themselves – Find a General Practitioner offers recruitment services, which is completely independent of the Find a General Practitioner job board & urgent/random request service.
